Digital Media Consultancy Work

My business and organisation consultancy work ranges from open and social media strategy, digital project development and media content creation.

Over the years I have worked with a good range of organisations in the public and private sector developing creative media work and strategies using video, podcasting, app development, web, photography and social media. When added up these interventions run into thousands of hours of content that have helped to create millions of interactions.

Partners, clients and funders I have worked with include the UNDP (United Nations Developmetn Programme), BT, BBC, Learndirect, ERDF (European Regional Development Fund), Coventry City Football Club, AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council), Avid Technologies, the NHS, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Institute for Community Cohesion,  a number of Universities (Goldsmiths-University of London, Stellenbosch University – South Africa, Zhejiang University of Media and Communication- China) and many more.

I have won awards for some of this work.

My consultancy work spans from working with Universities across the globe on digital media strategy to working with national organisations, businesses and charities on content development- implementing strategies for change and impact by using creative content. I also have a firm grasp, knowledge and experience of the more practical aspects of media making (camera- cinematography and photography, audio, after effects, editing, directing and producing, website development etc)- meaning I can work through all stages of project development from concept to completion- making me an efficient and dynamic individual capable of providing comprehensive expertise.

Within this I have built up a wide range of skills and competencies using a range of media- innovating with new technologies and practices, mastering more traditional forms of media as well as continuing to develop skills in using and developing new platforms, strategies and techniques for the creative use of media. Projects that I have developed founded have helped organisations to create millions of views, downloads and interactions.

As a Senior Lecturer in Open and Digital Media my role is to stay at the forefront of these technologies and lead on the development of a number of open strategies for my department and the university. My work isn’t just about making content but also getting it seen, integrated and distributed through contemporary and emerging platforms.

I have access to my own software and high specification kit which is included in my rates (cameras and support, audio, lighting, editing suites, multimedia software etc etc) as well as a wonderful network of complementary creative professionals for working on more complex and resource intensive projects. I generally work across the UK and beyond.
